For my family 2021 was not a bad year. 2021 was a transition year. When you think about it any time is just that…but you have to look at it that way. Things change, people and situations change. You have to work to make the best of it.

I have to admit I’m super sick of covid. We’ve done our part…our family is vaccinated and we continue to travel. I’m frustrated by the situation but if I’m anything, it’s an optimist. We certainly can’t change ignorance. Living in civilized society also comes with responsibility. I’m proud of my family for being responsible.

In 2020-21 I was given an opportunity at my job that I had waited for a very long time. I successfully passed my series 7 and was studying for my series 24. This would have given me piece of mind and opportunities in a company that I had been with a long time, and it was hard to let that idea go.

However as we know life happens and no one certainly could have seen the change that would happen because of covid. My purpose at my job changed with it. I was working remotely and certainly thankful for my job, but my goals and ideas revolved around being with people and working face to face so things and goals changed. I’ve been working towards my international relations degree and even when I sat down for my reviews I always told my manager our Goal was to always move overseas. Justin loved his tour while stationed in Italy.

Well…fast forward until June…Justin getting a job offer in Stuttgart, selling our house, moving Charlie here, and lastly spending our Christmas away from family and friends for the first time in a while…as we’d always say as a family “here we are”

So cheers to 2021 it was a great year full of change and exploration for our family. Bring on 2022. 🥂
